Reflections on Career SeminarOn 2 march, we went to the Career seminar at Suntec City. It was crowded with people of different group age. Many booths was set up at the fair and the career I was interested in was
Sport Management, Hospitality and tourism and Education.
Sport Management would give participants a sound understanding of the nature and meaning of sport and leisure, as well as planning and management of financial, human and the environment resources to meet the needs of sport and leisure industry. This job also provides participants with up-to-date business and management skills that empower them in a wide array of disciplines.
Hospitality and Tourism would give participants a sound understanding of the nature and meaning of hospitality and tourism, as well as planning and management of financial, human and environment resources to meet the needs of industry. Places that provides jobs related to hospitality and tourism are hotels and resorts, restaurants, cafes and pubs, conferences and events, enterainment and leisure, health and fitness clubs, catering services, tourism management, travel agencies, airlines and tour operators.
Lastly, Education. It had always been one of the most respected proffessions in the world. Those who take it up have often described it as a calling. There is no doubt that educators are some of the most motivated people around. Mant leaders and thinkers in our society attribute their success to a teacher in grade school or university who inspired them to greatness. Educators can wield a great deal of influence over their students and this power needs to be exercised wisely and objectively. Places that educators could in are Kingergardens, schools, polytechnics, universities and private training institutes.
Among all the three choices of career, I like the Sport management the best. I had great interest in sports and I want to know how it works.Hospitality and tourism would be my second choice as I doesn't enjoy working in a foreign country alone and consatnt travelling for some jobs like working at the airport. However, I would love to work in the airport and serve the touristsas I could interact with them.Educators must had high tolerance and patience. They had a lot of work to do and it could be stressful something. I do not really enjoy teaching and it was not my interest but we could able to teach the young generations with knowledge and skills. It was an important job.Lastly, I chose my career that I want depends on my interest.
